The Virgo ~ A Dedication to Persesphone

This painting, titled *"The Virgo ~ A Dedication to Persephone,"* is inspired by the myth of Persephone, the goddess who spends half the year with her husband Hades in the underworld and the other half with her mother Demeter, the goddess of agriculture. Like the Virgo constellation, visible only for six months, Persephone's return brings beautiful weather and growth. Created with acrylic gouache on a wood skateboard, this piece reflects the Jade’s admiration for Persephone's story and celebrates her as the muse.
